FAQ
Tournaments, flex leagues, groups, and what is free today.
Is this free?
Yes during beta. There is no checkout and nothing is billed today. We plan optional paid features later — see Pricing.
What is a tournament vs a flex league?
A tournament is hours to one day: signup, matchups, live scores, clear winner. A flex league is multi-week: you get season pairings and schedule each match yourselves. See How to use.
If I mark a tournament recurring, does next week create itself?
Not automatically. The organizer opens the tournament and clicks Create next occurrence (optional re-invite of previous emails). One click — no retyping rules.
What if an odd number of people sign up (e.g. 5)?
Everyone who signed up stays in. Single elimination adds byes (auto-advance that round). Round robin rotates who sits out a round. We do not cut the 5th person for first-come-first-served.
What match types can a tournament use?
Timed (15/30/45/60 minutes with on-page timer), best of 3 games to 11 (win by 2), one game to 11, or a rally to N points. Chosen when the tournament is created.
What are groups?
A named circle of usual players. From a tournament you organize, invite a whole group in one click. Groups are optional — not required to enter a public tournament.
How do doubles pairs work?
Create a named doubles pair, invite your partner, reuse it across leagues and tournaments. Optional profile gender labels the pair Men's, Women's, or Mixed. Doubles tournaments choose prepared pairs or auto-pair at create. One person may only appear once per event.
What is “flex”?
You are paired for the season, then you schedule each match yourselves inside the season window — instead of a fixed team night every week.
Do I need an association membership?
No. Anyone can create or join here. Skill levels are self-declared and refined by match results.
How do ratings work?
You start from a seed skill level (self, invite suggestion, or organizer). After confirmed flex matches, a simple Elo-style update adjusts your pickleball rating.
Is my data private?
League and tournament mates can see information you share for play. We do not claim perfect protection of data — please do not enter highly sensitive information. Read the Privacy Policy.
